9 sept, Nuawakot: Seven persons were killed in a road accident at Pipalmode along the Naubise-Nagdhunga Road section in the district last night.
The accidendent took place when a tipper ( Ba 2 Kha 3992) heading from Thankot lost control and barged into a house adjoining the road, according to police.
The deceased have been identified as Bal Ram Bohara, 70, and his wife Maiya Bohara who were inside the home when the tipper ripped through the house.
Driver of the tipper reportedly lost control of the vehicle as he tried to overtake another vehicle ahead. Police have nabbed the tipper driver and impounded the vehicle.
